To be able to offer First Aid Training in the UK, meeting Health and Safety Executive requirements, and to offer courses via Training Qualifications UK (TQUK, we offer the following Qualifications as part of our First Aid Trainer course.
Level 3 Award in Education (AET) via TQUK
You must have a recognised teaching qualification to offer First Aid Training in the UK. The L3 AET is the minimum requirement for teaching in the UK, and this is why we ensure all learners complete this qualification on our courses.
Level 3 First Aid at Work via TQUK
Ideally, you should have experience of first aid to offer first aid training, however, it is not essential. We will ensure you complete the Level 3 First Aid at Work Qualification, ensuring you have a good understanding of areas such as current CPR guidelines, the benefits of using an Automated External Defibrillator, signs and symptoms for a range of major conditions, including Heart Attacks and strokes, as well as how to be a good first aider, and the roles and responsibilities of a first aider at work.
Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice via TQUK
It will be important to understand how to assess learners but also ensure your centre meets the high standards set out by Awarding Organisations such as Training Qualifications UK.
Therefore to complete our course you will also be required to complete this Level 4 Qualification. This will allow you to quality assure your centre, and assess other trainers to ensure they meet the requirements that you, and your Awarding Organisation set out.
